Savor Local Flavors

Thornton’s culinary scene offers a delightful mix of flavors. Start your culinary journey at Tequila’s Mexican Restaurant, where you can enjoy authentic Mexican dishes and a wide selection of tequilas. The vibrant atmosphere and delicious food make it a local favorite. (Sadly, Tequila’s has closed since we wrote this post.)

For farm-fresh eats, head to the Bluebird Cafe. This locally owned restaurant serves Colorado comfort food with a healthy twist and breakfast and lunch from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. daily.

Satire Brewing claims no fancy European training, just amazing beer and creative flavors. Westword Magazine named Satire Brewing one of the top five breweries you should follow on Instagram, profiling some of its more wacky and wild posts (remember, the brewery’s name is Satire!) The tasting room allows customers to try free samples until they find a favorite, and a large outdoor patio is perfect for gatherings and slow summer nights under the setting sun. The unique menu offers shareable appetizers featuring locally sourced sausages, meats, and cheeses stuffed inside homemade hot bread.

After thirty years in corporate cubicles, this husband-and-wife duo decided to follow their dreams and bring their homebrews to the masses; thus, Mother Tucker Brewery was born. The beer follows the 3-Us: unprocessed, unpasteurized, and unfiltered.  No additives or preservatives. Head to Mother Tucker’s tasting room in Thornton for a truly authentic brewskie experience.
